John, at Honeymoon Properties, Inc. specializes in representing clients in the purchase and sale of real estate property, particularly rural homes and acreages within the Greenbrier Valley and New River Valley areas of SE West Virginia.

Biography
John is a native of Lacoochee, Florida who chose to leave the sunny tropics for a cooler, mountainous climate. Ask John about winter in Florida and he will tell you that it is the best three days of the year. After four years touring the world, courtesy of Uncle Sam’s US Navy, John set off on another adventure. This time to the big city. There he worked for several corporations gaining experience in Insurance, Accounting, and Transportation and Traffic Management. John served as the Interdistrict Transportation System Manager for the Federal Reserve System, based at the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago. After 15 years in Chicago, including 7 years at the Fed, John, a country boy at heart, came to a simple conclusion, the Fed did not have enough money in its vaults to keep him in the big city any longer. He fled the Fed, and the big city.

In 1980, John moved back to Florida to co-own and operate a concrete precast company.  For fifteen years prior to his move to West Virginia, he owned and operated a textile screen printing company.

John and his wife, Lori, now reside in their Honeymoon Cottage located in Summers County and enjoy involvement in the community as well as meeting the wonderful, friendly people of the Greenbrier Valley and the New River Valley area. John  loves the snow and enjoys the outdoors: RVing, sawing & splitting firewood, hiking, hunting, reloading and target shooting.

To serve you, John brings to bear on your behalf forty years of experience working with people and meeting their needs. John has earned the GRI, the designation for Graduate, REALTOR® Institute. While in Chicago John attended Moody Bible Institute, Loyola University and Roosevelt University. He graduated from The College of Advanced Traffic with certificates in T&T Management and Interstate Commerce Law and Practice.
